    Good morning!
I love your approach. My children were totally nervous in ps, but I did not recognize it until they came home and changed into different children in a week or two!
I’ve found a bit of online info about snow hurricanes that is geared toward children and thought I’d find places to pass it along. Check it out:

and if you like it, pass it along to any other homeschoolers you know. It’s really amazing. And no strings attached. Simply copypaste, if you want.

    Have a great day!

The summer is usually in the 90’s with high humidity, and the average in late January to early February is usually around 0, it’s the windchill that gets you.

Oh, I think the spring and fall are about equal, everywhere, but the winters and summers tell all! Our summer, last year, was around 120, daily, for months. This summer, around 110. Those were unusual for us, but I know our winters are so mild, hardly ever below 0 for the LOW, and that just for one or two nights. 😉
I do know about windchill. Used to live in n. MO, where we’d cringe to think we might get a taste of YOUR conditions. 😆
