Crud, I had so much more stuff I was hoping to get done, and here we are, last two days of the school year. Of course, my smartie pants finished her academic work up a few weeks early, so I’ve been “inventing” work these past few weeks. (When we weren’t on vacation.)

She’s got a few pen pals now, she’s working through her 4th grade math book, and I believe she plans to finish that by the end of summer. Not that I’m gonna even try to stop her.¬† Continue reading

There have been lots of things happening for us recently. GM finished all her 3rd grade work, and extra credit work, and we took a family vacation, which was lovely.


We ¬†recently went on vacation to Honolulu, Hawaii. It was a wonderful trip after the initial difficulty of getting there. I won’t bore you with the details, but after this trip I’m questioning airplane travel. Ugh.

As far as school goes, we’ve decided that even though we loved online school academically, for me, as the main parent involved, I cannot balance her school and my work, and at this time, I simply don’t have the luxury of not working.¬† Continue reading
